As we continue in this New Year, it’s imperative that we understand that God can make us attain heights that maybe far out of our reach. The God that we serve among other things can make you; He can make you become who he wants you to be. He can make you fulfill destiny or attain heights that are far out of your reach right now. In Matthew 4:19 Jesus said, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” We see the beginning of the fulfillment of this statement when Peter, a former illiterate fisherman, preached in Acts 2 and three thousand gave their lives to Christ; “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.” Act 2:41. It’s also clear from scriptures that God can make the barren become fruitful. In Psalm 113:9 the Bible clearly states, “He maketh the barren woman to keep house, and to be a joyful mother of children….” God made Sarah, Hannah, etc., to become joyful mothers. Yes! God can make you fruitful, He will turn every barrenness in your life into fruitfulness in Jesus name.
Furthermore, 2 Corinthians 2:14 clearly shows to us that God can make us triumphant in all the battles we fight; “Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place.” The word ‘always’ in this verse means no matter what you are dealing with now and whatever life will throw your way tomorrow, victory is guaranteed for you. God will make you triumphant in Jesus name.
In addition, 1 Samuel 2:6-9 (KJV) shows that God “maketh alive..maketh rich…make them inherit the throne of glory”. Simply put respectively, God will revive everything that needs to be revived in your life. God will bring you to the level where you will always have more than enough in store. Inheriting the throne of glory refers to something more profound than earthly blessings. God can and will make you make heaven in Jesus name. And closely related to this is the fact that God make you great, He can make you a blessing to the families of the earth. Genesis 12:2,3 says, “And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing: And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.” May this promise of God find expression in your life and posterity in Jesus name.
Let me close by saying that God can make you whole and free from bondage. John 8:32 says, “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” The truth is Jesus himself, the word of God. Therefore, as we grow in the knowledge of God and in Jesus Christ in particular, we become free from demonic oppressions. No wonder Daniel 11:32 says, “but the people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits.” God will make you free and strong; you shall do exploits in Jesus name. He will also make you whole. Jesus is asking, “Wilt thou be made whole?” John 5:6. Your answer should be an emphatic, Yes Lord, make me whole. Jesus Christ is still going about doing good, and healing as many that are oppressed by the devil. Act 10:38. God will heal and deliver you. He will make you whole in Jesus name. But don’t forget that He said “Follow me, and I will make you…” You must follow Him for Him to Make you. God bless you.
