The best way of knowing what has been bequeathed to you in a will is reading the will yourself. What you find in the will is the express desire of the testator. You can only enforce the will when you know what it says about you.  Similarly, the Bible, particularly the New Testament is the Will of God for us. The word ‘testament’ means ‘Will’. The testator or the one who gave the Will is Jesus Christ. We also know that the testator must die for his Will to be enforced; the Will is ready to be enforced because the testator, Jesus, has died as required.  It’s now time to enforce the Will. But we must read it thoroughly for us to know what has been bequeathed to us.  You must find time to read the Will. We must read at least a chapter of the New Testament daily.

As you read the New Testament it’s important to know that Jesus Christ was the physical expression of the Will of God the Father. His life was both the revelation and the manifestation of the unchanging love and will of God. This means the life of Jesus while on earth both expressed and demonstrated the Will of God. Hebrews 10:9 says, “Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God…” Therefore, the Will of God can be seen in the works and deeds of Jesus Christ.  In Acts 10:38-40 Peter, one of the disciples that had firsthand knowledge of the ministry of Jesus said, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him. [39] And we are witnesses of all things which he did both in the land of the Jews, and in Jerusalem; whom they slew and hanged on a tree: [40] Him God raised up the third day and shewed him openly;”.  Note that Jesus went about doing good. This means the goodness of God shall locate and do you good in Jesus name. Healing shall also be your portion in Jesus name. If Jesus went about healing the sick while he treaded the earth, God’s Will is to heal you.  His Will also include deliverance. Therefore, receive your deliverance in the mighty name of Jesus.

There is an ungodly trend going on nowadays. Many Christians, in order to show that they are more pious, or something tends to lend their voices to that of the powers of darkness in criticizing the preachers of prosperity. They make it sound like prosperity is not part of the gospel of Christ.  But it’s clear from scriptures that prosperity is an integral part of the gospel of Christ. When Peter asked Jesus what they stand to benefit from being his disciples, he responded: Mark 10:29-30 “…Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and the gospel’s, [30] But he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.” In Matthew 11:28 Jesus Christ declared, “Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavily laden, and I will give you rest.”  In his second epistle to the Corinthians, Apostle Paul wrote, “For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes, he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich.” Both John the Baptist and Jesus Christ preached saying, “Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” The kingdom of God, which is void of sickness, lack, shame, and all the works of darkness is accessible.  Brethren let’s endeavor to read the Will. God bless you.
